Table for one on Mothers Day at my Mamas favorite place. Stopped at Jakes Famous Crawfish in Portland. I would make reservations here for Mothers Day and whenever I could get her out of the house we would stop here. She loved the Calamari here, a must have for her. This year I tried the Fresh Crusted Steelhead and had to finish it off with some amazing cheesecake.
After lunch we would head up to the Pittock Mansion. We would come to the mansion, because it reminded my mom of her home back in Croatia. We would walk the grounds and sometimes take a tour inside.
Years ago the maids quarters that is detached from the property used to be a cafe, and we would get mamas favorite espressos.
